# B2B Intent Signal Library

Signals are clues that an account may have a timely need. They are not proof of intent. Confirm relevance, use lawful sources, explain why you are contacting someone, and stop when they opt out.

| Signal | What it may indicate | Useful validation question |
| --- | --- | --- |
| New senior leader | Priorities or vendors may be reviewed | Has the role announced a relevant initiative? |
| Hiring for a relevant function | A team may be expanding or changing | Is the role connected to a problem you solve? |
| New office or market entry | New operational or go-to-market needs | Does your offer support this specific expansion? |
| New product or service launch | Need for positioning, demand, or sales support | Is the launch relevant to your service? |
| Merger or acquisition | Systems, teams, and processes may change | Is there a publicly stated integration priority? |
| Funding or major investment | Growth plans may create new requirements | Is there evidence the investment funds your area? |
| Technology migration | A current tool or workflow may be changing | What public evidence confirms the change? |
| Regulatory or policy change | New compliance or operating needs may emerge | Does the change create a problem you can address? |
| Publicly stated strategic priority | Leadership has named a relevant goal | Can you connect your offer to the stated goal? |
| Relevant event or content activity | The account is engaging with a topic | Is the activity recent and from a reliable source? |

## Simple prioritisation

For each account, record the signal, source, date observed, confidence, and next action. Prioritise signals that are recent, verifiable, and directly connected to your service. Treat multiple independent signals as stronger context, not certainty.

## Outreach checklist

1. Confirm that the account fits your ideal customer profile.
2. Verify the signal and make sure it is current.
3. Contact only a relevant business role, with a clear business reason.
4. Identify yourself and make one reasonable request.
5. Record the outcome and honor any request not to be contacted again.
